When creating a new bike room consider putting plywood on the bike room walls for secure anchoring of the bike brackets and painting them with an eggshell finish for easy cleaning. If the walls are up and they are sheet rock, We recommend adding plywood supports behind the bike brackets. If your alternating the hights of the brackets install a plywood plank 16″ high x 2″ thick x the length of the bike wall. The added support will create secure anchoring as shown in the picture in this link.
